Few find inner peace but this is not because they try and fail, it is because they do not try.Peace Pilgrim
How can we find peace within the whirlwind of modern life? At times it feels so unattainable. But are we really that sincere in our quest for inner peace?
In the West, we lead such fast, frenetic, and feverish lives. It’s easy to feel like we are forever drowning in an ocean of worry and fear, trying to keep our head above water, trying to take a deep breath before the waves crash down upon us.
I often wonder why I don’t take more moments to let life simply happen. Why am I unable to observe my experiences without reacting? Why am I powerless to escape unwanted thoughts, uncomfortable emotions, or an inflated ego? Why can’t I grant myself the opportunity to welcome peace into my life? Perhaps if I just tried more often, I may find what I truly seek.
What does it mean to experience inner peace? Is there anything more important in life? How can I allow peace to be in this present moment?
